On the first day we had contact with some of the teachers and staff that will be in contact with us in the next 5 months. The first impression was very good. All seemed qualified and committed to resolve our doubts and at the same time calm our anxieties. Talking to my group, one of the biggest fears, no doubt, was the difficulty with the language, but knew immediately that they were used to this kind of situation, and particularly Mr. Brian Joyce, one of our lectures in reassured using your polished and easily understood English.

One of the things that caught my attention at first was certainly in the coming months not only learn with our teachers but also have numerous opportunities to share knowledge between us. It was in one of the brief conversations between our group that met by Prof. Diego Lieban (IFRS - Campus Bento Gonçalves) two softwares used to facilitate our presentations and classes, Doceri, Geogebra and Prezi. I will not talk about them here but I think it's worth a little research on them.
We also learned some new concepts such as "Content langague Integrating Learning", "Project Based-Learnig" and "CBC".

We also had the opportunity to understand how the Finnish education system works, it was very interesting. Mr Joyce inspired us telling us about the role of the teacher, one of the phrases used for this was that "the teacher must show new knowledge to their students so as excited as a tourist who has just returned from trip and show your photos to your friends. "Following this line, he taught us that learning moments are constructed as "Lego pieces, one by one, of different shapes and colors," that is, we can use all available resources for teaching and learning as photos, videos, pictures , stories and everything is possible.

Primeira semana de estudos – Parte 01

Logo no primeiro dia tivemos contato com alguns dos professores e equipe que estarão em contato conosco nos próximos 5 meses. A primeira impressão foi a melhor impossível. Todos me pareceram qualificados e empenhados em solucionar nossas dúvidas e ao mesmo tempo nos acalmar em nossos anseios e “monstros”. Conversando com meu grupo, um dos maiores medos, sem dúvida, era a dificuldade com o idioma, porém logo de cara percebi que eles estavam acostumados com esse tipo de situação e, particularmente, Mr. Brian Joyce, um dos nossos principais professores nos tranquilizou com seu inglês polido e facilmente compreendido.
Umas das coisas que me chamaram a atenção no primeiro foi que certamente nos próximos meses não aprenderemos somente com nossos professores e sim também teremos inúmeras oportunidades de compartilhar conhecimento entre nós. Foi em uma das breves conversas entre o próprio grupo que conheci através do Profº Diego Lieban (IFRS – Campus Bento Gonçalves) dois softwares utilizados para facilitar nossas apresentações e aulas, o Doceri, Geogebra e Prezi. Não vou falar sobre eles aqui mas creio que valha a pena pesquisar um pouco sobre eles.
Aprendemos também alguns novos conceitos como “Content Langague Integrating Learning”, “Project Based-Learnig” e “CBC”.
Também tivemos a oportunidade de entender como funciona o sistema finlândes de ensino, algo muito interessante. Mr Joyce nos inspirou nos falando sobre o papel do professor, umas das frases que usou para isso foi que “o professor deve mostrar novos conhecimentos aos seus alunos de forma tão entusiasmada quanto um turista que acaba de chegar de viagem e mostra suas fotos para seus amigos”. Seguindo nessa linha, ele nos ensinou que os momentos de aprendizado são construídos como “peças de Lego, um a um, de diferentes formas e cores”, ou seja, podemos utilizar todos os recursos disponíveis para ensinar e aprender como fotos, vídeos, imagens, histórias e tudo o que for possível.
